Anička was born in 1988. Originally from Úvaly, she now calls Liberec her home. You could say she’s our most well-known and certainly the most cheerful Czech slackliner.
With a degree in architecture and construction from CTU, she’s our own Ing. Arch. on the slackline. Ask her how slacklining captivated her, and you’ll get a romantic story. It all started with a slackliner she fell in love with, and now she’s devoted to both of them. "I still love them both to this day," she says.
Like any mom, her family keeps her busy, and while her little boy is currently most interested in sand, sticks, and puddles, it’d be surprising if he didn’t inherit his parents’ talent and affection for slacklining one day.
Anička is an active woman with a list of interests that could fill two lines. She loves exploring the outdoors—whether on foot, by bike, boat, skis, or even hitchhiking. "I’ve always enjoyed packing up a few things, grabbing a few friends, and heading out for days or even weeks at a time," she says. "Sleeping on the ground, feeling a bit cold and wet, maybe even a little hungry. There’s nothing like it." She appreciates the simplest joys—like when the sun finally rises, sinking her teeth into a cookie, and sipping hot tea.
Anička shares: “I love how my senses sharpen, my mind quiets, and I realize how small I am, how brief our time here is. That’s when what truly matters rises above the everyday noise.”
